Nashville recording artists Lacey Brown and Joshua Payne will headline “Nashville Meets New Haven: An Intimate Evening of Original Acoustic Song” in New Haven on Nov. 4 at 3 PM. The duo of guitar-playing singer-songwriters will perform for Connecticut audiences in the homey, comfortable ambience of Lyric Hall. This is a great opportunity to hear national-level singing and playing in such an intimate, family-friendly environment. Audiences can expect to hear original and often innovative music that is tender, but strong; sweet, yet touched with melancholy; lyrical and yet driving; meaningful and yet thoroughly entertaining.

LACEY
Alongside her vocal uniqueness, Lacey believes her greatest gifts are the ability to interpret a lyric to evoke emotion in the listener. Lacey gushes about her first project as “…a collection of five songs, of which, each describes a different facet of me.” With her first album, she is looking to uplift and inspire – to make you feel deeply and force you to think about things in a simpler way. She wants her music to take you back to a time when things were just said and taken at face value. Lacey, eager to get music out to her fans in 2011, released her debut EP “Let it Go” as an independent release. Writing, recording, and co-producing her first project has refreshingly set her apart from the usual post-idol personalities. Lacey’s writing style is best described as pop lyrics resting on a bed of American Bluegrass and she looks forward to sharing this budding side of her artistry with her fans.
