SKIN and METAL a theatrical concert of music for flute and percussion featuring guest artist Timothy Munro, flutist from the Grammy-winning ensemble eighth blackbird and HOWL’s percussionists (also known as Sandbox Percussion).
PROGRAM: An Idyll for the Misbegotten by George Crumb, selections from Sciarrino’s intensely beautiful L’opera for solo flute, lend/lease by David Lang, A Message from the Emperor by Martin Bresnick, Folhagens by Leonardo Gorosito, and Amy Beth Kirsten’s they might be giants for flute and percussion quartet (World Premiere).
