The Fall event at Le Salon at Lyric Hall will be a Preview Party to meet Japanese traveling Performer Ichiro before his Opening Night at Lyric Hall on Friday, October 11th.
Enjoy a chance to talk one-on-one with Ichiro & learn about his family involvement in this 400 year old traditional art from Japan.
Catch a glimpse behind the scenes of the amazing costume changes & interlocking masks that make up the performance. Hear some tales of Ichiro’s travels around the world & how his myths & mimes connect with so many people of different languages & cultures.
About Ichiro
Descended from a family of traditional Japanese performers, Ichiro learned his art performing at Shinto Temples in Japan. His art form involves elaborate costume staging, fascinating masks & precise dance choreography. In Ichiro’s words, “from the original belief in Japan that there are said to be more than 8 million spirits living with us, so every moment we have a feast and a festival. The mimes and dances I perform tell the stories of these spirits, the myths of our ancestors and celebrate our beliefs.”
TICKETS: $75 per person
Your ticket to Le Salon Japonais includes a reserved, front row complimentary ticket to the Opening Night Performance on Friday October 11 at 7pm. Tickets to this event are limited to 20.
