New Haven Cinematheque is a new local organization devoted to bringing repertory cinema to the greater New Haven area. Through a continual series of themed screenings, NHS looks to provide the best in classic and modern digital movie-going experiences for audiences young, old, and in-between. We are stationed at Lyric Hall, the wonderful and gorgeous old silent movie theater so lovingly restored by John Cavaliere. We will currently offer films each Thursday night, with perhaps even more offerings in the future.
Our inaugural series is Vincent Price’s “House” of Horror, a series of four films featuring the Yale alumnus and master of terror (and the word “House” in the title of each film), just in time for Halloween.
All ages are welcome, so come one, come all and enjoy four delightfully macabre fright films in the comfort and elegance of Lyric Hall.
